๐ Marketplaces
BolloPrint can connect with marketplaces (the platforms where you sell online) so the workshop becomes your operations hub: the orders that come in on the marketplace appear on their own in BolloPrint, with their products and sales data, without copying anything by hand.
Pick your marketplace to see its guide:
- ๐ Selling on Etsy โ available on every plan.
- ๐ Selling on Shopify โ coming soon. It will arrive when Shopify approves the BolloPrint app; until then you won't see Shopify in the application.
How many marketplaces you can connect
On the Hobby plan you can have one marketplace connected at a time. On the other plans, no limit.
Below is what works the same across all marketplaces; the specifics of each one are on its own page.
Where it is
The side menu has a Marketplaces entry. It's the command center common to all of them, with three tabs. When you come back in, the last tab you used opens.
| Tab | What for |
|---|---|
| Linked | What's already linked with each marketplace, and its status. It's the tab that opens the first time. |
| Publish | Choosing products from your catalog and publishing them to a marketplace. You can filter by tag so you don't have to tick them one by one. |
| Import | Bringing into BolloPrint what you already have published on the marketplace. |
What's common to all of them
- A single connection. An Administrator or Owner connects the store once, from Settings โ Extensions โ Marketplaces.
- Who does what. Publishing products to the marketplace and importing listings can be done by Workers too, as well as Administrators and Owners; connecting and disconnecting the store can't. The orders that come in are worked on by the whole team like any other order.
- Orders come in on their own. When someone buys on the marketplace, within seconds the order appears in BolloPrint, tagged with its channel (Etsy, Shopifyโฆ). You can filter the order list by channel.
- And they're kept up to date. If an order is cancelled, shipped, delivered or refunded on the marketplace, BolloPrint reflects it on its own. If someone edits the contents of an order, you'll see a warning to review it before shipping. The details are in ๐ฆ Orders โ Orders that come from a marketplace. The marketplace is the source of truth: your changes in BolloPrint are not pushed there.
- Your privacy and your buyers'. BolloPrint is designed to store only what's needed: we never store the buyer's email. Each marketplace shares different data: from Etsy, if it shares them, we store the buyer's name and address (country, city, postcode and street) on the customer record; from Shopify, no personal data at all. Whatever doesn't arrive, you look up on the marketplace itself.
- Disconnecting never deletes your orders. If you disconnect a store โ from BolloPrint or from the marketplace itself โ the link is cut but the orders and products you've already imported stay with you. They simply stop syncing.
Each marketplace has its own rules (what data it shares, how products are published, what arrives and what doesn't). That's covered on each one's page.
A difference worth knowing about
Etsy doesn't notify refunds, so BolloPrint periodically sweeps recent orders so as not to miss any. Shopify (once it's available) does notify them straight away, so it doesn't need that sweep.
